Aundrea Bell is an emerging artist whose practice is strongly influenced by personal and social rituals. Primarily working in photo-based art, she explores cultural and geographic rites and ceremonies. Bell’s latest work investigates notions of origin, personal mythology and namesakes.

Bell has contributed photography to the concept album and performance art piece Rosé Porn (by artist Zoja Smutny in collaboration with Victoria Cheong). Her work has accompanied the performance on its multi-city tour; Dancemakers, Toronto (2016), Darling Foundry, Montreal (2016), Night Gallery, Los Angeles (2017), Art Gallery of Ontario, Toronto (2017).

In addition to her photographs, Bell has contributed an environmental installation, Palm (Rosé Porn) which has been integrated into the performance. The installation was recently shown at the Art Gallery of Ontario (April, 2017), as a part of AGO First Thursdays: MOBILIZE. 

Bell lives and works in Toronto, Canada.
